IBM ML2 Network Adapters are placed into a ML2 slot on equipped IBM System x servers preserving a PCIe slot. IBM ML2 Adapters also enable the IBM System x server's management traffic to be combined with the application traffic. By merging this traffic onto a single port your cabling and switching costs are greatly reduced.
